A Very Short Biography For A Very Simple Girl

Alyssa was born mid winter, on a day that could be considered rather warm for this time of year. Her birth was uncomplicated, the straightforward manner in which she was brought into the world continued as a trait in her early years. Alyssa was bold, speaking honestly and openly about things that bothered her. It took the combined effort of her parents to teach her selective speaking, though nothing she ever said was particularly offensive, it did come off as an obnoxious thing. 

She spent most of her days with her older brother, the two cared for by a live in nanny and having very little time with Erik or Moira after Alyssa reached the age of 9. Her growing years were almost unremarkable, aside from her preferred isolation. Alyssa expressed herself in a most stubborn manner, insisting on making her own tea and fussing with whatever particular brew was brought to her without her own handiwork. In this same manner, when Alyssa reached her teens she spent long hours watching the kitchen. She would carefully master her way through baking recipes, and in her adult years try to craft her own in secrecy. 

Once she reached the appropriate age, the next set of troubles came from finding her a suitor. While Alyssa wasn't outright scary, she still had an avoidance to any attempt to set her up. Instead she took an interest in the young bachelor, Damascus. Despite the rumors, his possible hand in his wifes death, Alyssa continued with the courtship and an interest in marriage.

Like most, Alyssa openly worships Cyrus. Behind the scenes, Alyssa questions the role of the gods and the truth behind them. She questions the motivations of higher beings, and in general will only open up to those closest to her.

Abilities

Alyssa is aware and does practice magic actively, working out spells and investigating the depth of magic.

Thus far she has discovered small manipulation abilities, mostly in terms of making conjuring food. She uses this ability in her secret kitchen experiments. 

She also likes to manipulate very small objects around the house, sometimes changing the color of maybe a vase that would go unnoticed.
