Ayumi

Update: Ayumi is currently healing from internal ruptures and as a cause can do little without aid. Her appearance has also changed to a pair of baggy denim overalls, black t-shirt and an untied hospital robe.

Appearance: Small for her age, could pass for 10 or 9. Often has her hair pulled back in a sloppy pony tail, wearing a dark brown t-shirt with white daisy's and dark brown trim. The Daisy pattern is peeling in areas, suggesting age. She couples this with a pair of jean shorts, rolled up to the knees with a cloth belt that is obviously fashioned from old shirts. 
Around her neck she wears a gold pendant in the shape of a heart. 

Secondary appearance: Ayumi is half celestial on her mothers side. This does not grant her massive, god mode powers. It does however allow her the ability to "summon" wings. Feathery white, standard and proportional to her body size. She also has a halo. This is not an indication of her power but she puts plenty of will and motivation into it. It does illuminate lightly, and is bent on one side as if sat on. It hovers about half an inch of Ayumi's head and can be removed.

Ayumi Lynn was born in Rhode Island, 3:56 AM on a rainy Friday night. Due to the nature of the world at the time, her birth was not celebrated, instead passed as a secretive and quiet moment. 

It was decided almost immediately that Ayumi would stay with her father, as her mother was far to young and far to irresponsible to care for her. 
She had as normal of a childhood as could be expected after the world "ended". She still watched cartoons on Saturday mornings, though with VHS, went to school and fought with her brother. 

Her interests varied, ranging from things like reading about mythology, and history, to digging for rocks or various types of flowers. Ayumi wasn't reckless about her hobbies, but she would get into whatever she perceived as safe.

As time passed, resources in their small town dwindled, due to the stormy nature of the coast and settlement disappearances, John decided he could no longer keep his children in Rhode Island and made arrangements to move them, making a long and complicated journey to New York city.

Ayumi's brother, already being an adult took a separate route, heading west to California, in hopes of finding an equally lucky start to his own life, intending to return with stories. 
He was not heard from again, though neither sister or father concerned considering the fragmented state the country was in. 

In Pennsylvania, Ayumi was lost from her father. The circumstances in which it occurred are not shared, though Ayumi insists with honesty that her father survived the ordeal, and that she herself just couldn't pass the rest of the way into the state. 
Despite this, she has somehow found herself at the edge of eastern Colorado, found tired, thirsty and near starving, traveling down a beach that should not exist. 
Since then Ayumi has put all of her trust into Salem Wolf, due to his fatherly nature. It his hinted that she was with another group before coming upon Salem and his, but never openly acknowledges this. 

UPDATE: She was badly abused by Salem's brother, deeply scarring her normally upbeat personality and her confidence in any of her abilities. 

PERSONALITY: Ayumi is quiet, a little shy around strangers, always willing to open up to those who prove trustworthy.She is not secretive by nature, only if the situation calls for it or out of fear will she keep something from those she trusts. She is gullible, at the same time she can understand the intentions of others more often than not with body language and tone. Ayumi tries very hard to appear brave in moments of great stress, and will try to avoid crying at all costs for the benefit of those around her.

Abilities
Flight: Ayumi is small. Her wings are not fully developed. She can dart into the air, glide and hover. She is also capable of short flight, the longest is 15 minutes. 

Detection: Ayumi can see aura's that are unmasked. She can sense demons that are unmasked. I will not force her to see your characters hidden attributes unless you specifically okay it, but if your character has an obvious sense about them she will know. 

Holy: Ayumi can heal those who are willing, she can't fix mortal wounds unless okay'd by a DM and player. It takes a large amount out of her. She can shield herself, and throw visible blocks of holy energy that may effect demons. Those who are non demonic will feel something like being punched, depending on level of strength. 

Appears normal aside from sporadic, heightened intuition. 


NOTE: This power will never be able to read OOC information, simply for those characters who post a give such as nervous twitching, darkened eyes or telltale signs of inner character changes, and even then will not be spot on.

Dislikes: Due to an added level of cautiousness while traveling, Ayumi does not openly share her fears or dislikes. She seems to do poorly during storms, or any loud weather, or around those who are physically intimidating. Ayumi heavily dislikes a man named Jin. 

Likes: Sugar waffles, blue CD player, warm smiles, affectionate physical contact, butterflies, rocks of varying colors, the smell of wheat or fresh grass, pine trees, climbing.
